The Chilean cattle-raising areas are mainly concentrated in the tenth region (Los Lagos), the capital region and the ninth region (Araucanía) in south-central of Chile,which account for about 60% of the total number of cattle raised in the country. While the fourteenth region (Los Ríos) and the eighth region (Bíobío) account for about 20%.
Chile is good at supplying with quality beef and dairy produce a grace for its less pollution environment and strict health supervision. Due to its favorable climatic conditions and abundant pasture resources, there is great potential of further expansion of production scale.
